Referee appointed for tomorrow's UEFA Cup Final in Manchester

The UEFA Referees Committee today announced the referee for the final of the 2007/08 UEFA Cup between FC Zenit St. Petersburg and Rangers FC to be played at the City of Manchester Stadium in Manchester on Wednesday 14 May kicking-off at 19.45 local time (20.45 CET)

The match will be handled by 44-year-old Swedish referee Peter Fröjdfeldt who will be assisted by his compatriots Stefan Wittberg and Henrik Andrén – the same team who, in just over three weeks’ time, will be in action at the UEFA EURO 2008™ finals in Austria and Switzerland. The Fourth Official will be Martin Ingvarsson, also from Sweden.

Referee Peter Fröjdfeldt was last officiating in northern England to handle the UEFA Champions League quarter-final return leg between Liverpool FC and Arsenal FC at Anfield.
